Launching your music career off of your senior thesis seems pretty unconventional, but for NYC-based songstress Morgan Saint, her personal and anthemic debut EP, 17 Hero immediately sets her apart. Her take on moody pop can be compared to acts like Lorde and Banks, however Saint’s yearning message and sincere vocals bring out the most vulnerable parts of the listener. Her earnest and honest lyrics paired with dark dreamy production makes her one to to keep on your radar.

After giving her EP a listen, the body of work is effervescent and instead of conveying messages of love, Saint presents her narrative raw and real to the listener. The standout track “Glass House” echoes wobbling synths and focuses on the sincere delicacy of her voice. The song was released with an accompanying visual, showing an intimate portrayal of the singer. If Saint continues to develop her unique approach pop, her future looks promising.
